“We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one…” — The Doctor, “The Big Bang” (S5, Ep 13)

Those of you who know me have seen me at a range of different weights as an adult from 165–260 lbs. (Approximately 75–118 kg.)

The bottom line is I like food, a lot.

“The deadliest combination, therefore, occurs when an impulsive person with a high food reward sensitivity lives in an environment that’s bursting at the seams with highly rewarding foods.” — Stephan Guyenet, “The Hungry Brain” (p 68)

I suffer a bit from Guyenet’s deadliest combination. Thus my outcomes to date. When I focus on it, I can easily lose weight. Then my attention wanes and the pounds come back in our obesogenic environment.

I am working hard to make this most recent weight loss journey stick. I’ve been working on changing my mindset (prior post) and adopted a more flexible design-thinking approach (prior post) to my journey.

But the newest element is a greater willingness to be open and public about my weight loss efforts, challenges, and the journey itself.

Personally, I find it a fun story and for me it is overall a good one. Thanks for being a part of it.
