September Resolutions Check In

It is time for a September resolutions check in. I have been publicly blogging about my New Year’s Resolutions for 2018 (January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August).

The dashboard is unchanged since August; however, I’m definitely struggling on my weight/food issues perhaps a bit more than the gauge shows:

Lastly, while I had been getting back on track with reading my Kindle unceremoniously died and I need to get a new one too.

One of the things that has been rattling around in my brain the last day or two are a set of questions form FatDag’s WhysAdvice Podcast Ep #218. About questions for finding your weight loss journey why:

  1. What are you expecting to get out of this journey?
  2. Do you believe you can do this?
  3. What is in your way?
  4. What is the hardest thing you’ve ever done in your life?
  5. Who is ultimately responsible for your success?

Question 5, is the one that stuck with me about some of the issues that have been bedeviling me this summer. I could blame Weight Watchers for a crappy plan (Freestyle sucks!) or a variety of other things that have pulled me off track, but ultimately I am the one responsible for my success (or lack thereof) on this journey.

Anyhow, this is a long way of saying I need to make fewer excuses in my head and take more actions aligned with my longer term goals.
