I’ve been using this technique for a few years now, though I’ve never used Theme.NoDisplay (good tip!) and I’ve always preferred to call it StartActivity. Very useful for login/home as well as showing a Terms & Conditions screen on first launch. When the user accepts the T&Cs I then route the app back through the StartActivity to fulfil the next rule. Nice and clean. :-)
