Rally to support DACA today on Window on the Bay in Monterey
A Rally will be held Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Window on the Bay (Del Monte Avenue between Aguajito and Camino Aguajito) in Monterey to protest President Trump’s proposed action to overturn President Obama’s protection of about 800,000 offspring of undocumented immigrants.
Don’t ask, don’t tell, but some of the students in your classes, some of the teachers you have had, your police officers, firefighters, food servers, gardeners, doctors and nurses are being threatened with potential deportation and rescission of work permits. Unless.
Unless people, corporate employers, and we take action by demonstrating, writing to your local Congress representatives to urge Congress to do the right thing.
The Monterey County Democrats sent out a call for action late Monday in response to an expected order by Trump. Here is their message:
