The Lost World of Typewriters
Kanchana Doraiswamy

As someone who still owns a manual Underwood, tucked away in my closet for lo these many years, and who dreams of repairing it when my “ship comes in,” I applaud Mr. Gopalakrishna’s craftsmanship and enthusiasm, and only hope to find, someday, an artisan closer to home here in Los Angeles, with the same spirit and know-how to fix my machine. Nothing compares to the touch of those deep, responsive keys. I’m also hanging on to a Selectric, but that’s another story.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
