First of all thank you for sharing your experience and congrats on receiving those offers! But there is one thing that you mentioned which I do not agree at all.

I did around 70 problems in total and felt that was enough for me. My thought is that if 70 problems isn’t helpful then you may not be doing it right and 700 won’t be helpful either.

Thats absolutely not true and potentially very dangerous advice. What you probably did not realize is, you actually lucked out! You were either asked the exact same problems from the 70 that you prepared for or were very similar ones with very slight variation. Not every one gets that lucky.

I know bunch of people who prepared more than 100 problems, super strong with basics but did not clear the interviews because they were unfortunately asked entirely different problems and they couldn’t come up with efficient solution in 30 minutes. Which they later found the same questions on Leetcode and they regret till today that they shouldve prepared more problems.

On the other hand, you can also just prepare for 20 problems and if you are lucky, get asked same or very similar problems and clear the interviews. But that doesnt mean this person can go brag around saying how smart he is because he nailed the interviews with preparing just 20 problems and getting his basics strong while others don’t even after preparing 100+ problems. He was just lucky. Period. Sad state of interviews. But thats the fact.
