Jesus Battled Anxiety

Following Jesus’ example when facing anxiety and fear

In our culture, anxiety and fear are ever common. Many of us live in it everyday. Fear of the future. Fear of the unknown. Fear of failure. Fear that we won’t be able to overcome the temptation thrown at us from the enemy today. Fear of death. Fear that maybe we won’t make it to heaven. Fear that we are on the wrong side of God. Fear of rejection. Fear that this busyness will never end. Fear that we won’t be able to provide for the family we love so much. Fear of what people think of us. These can be really tormenting thoughts and they can drive us into a dark place spiritually.

How do we battle anxiety and fears of these things? I have recently felt much anxiety of different things in my life. It is hard. I believe we have the perfect example to look to in our king Jesus. The night before Jesus was going to be crucified, He experienced the highest form of anxiety possible. And The ways He went to battle this anxiety are exactly the ways we should do it.
