Heads of Latin American Missions in India Celebrated International Yoga Day 2017

Chiefs of Mission of Latin American countries in India came together to honour the ancient Indian practice of Yoga, in association with the Ministry of AYUSH

Ahead of the 3rd International Yoga Day, Heads of Missions of Latin American countries in India participated in yoga sessions on 6th and 8th June 2017, led by Minister of State for AYUSH, Shripad Yasso Naik.

The yoga course was organised by the Group of Latin American Embassies in India (GRULAC), and saw enthusiastic participation by Heads of Missions of various countries of the region, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Conscious of the benefits of the practice of yoga provides, the Latin American dignitaries recognized yoga as a valuable discipline that has taken root in their own countries and has sponsored the name of India worldwide.
