During a time (early 2014) when I was working as an independent contractor for a variety of clients I took on a short-term social media contract with the company. I ended up working a few weeks over the planned contract end date, then ultimately parted ways on good terms (quitting amicably) when the agreed-upon fee was being split over a longer timeframe than originally planned.
