It’s convenient to dismiss something as “astroturf” rather than addressing those points. I’ve been clear that I have no stake in the future of that company. I have been active as a volunteer in SF political campaigns for many years. This cycle, I’m active within a community of SF volunteers trying to defeat this destructive and short-sighted proposition.

Your latter paragraph supports my primary point almost perfectly. We’re spending our time screaming about anecdotes about Airbnb rentals, while forces much larger than “illegal LTR conversion” are constraining affordability at scale.
