By running a Koii node, you will earn passive income, and by completing tasks which is automated, you will earn $KOII tokens, which will be available on Tier 1 Exchanges Q3 2024!
1:1 is the conversion from your testnet $KOII tokens to Mainnet $KOII tokens (Testnet will be 1:1 as Mainnet)
See this proof: https://docs.koii.network/faq/questions/rewards/#q-will-the-mainnet-token-will-be-distributed-11-for-node-runners
Full Proper Installation Guide
- Download and install Node.js to prevent javascript errors from running the Koii node
- Choose the LTS or Current Latest and choose the installer whether you are on Windows or MacOS
A must install if you still don’t have this: Visual C++ and .NET
Download and install .NET 8.0 or .NET 9.0+ (Future Versions) Latest
This may not be related to the Koii Node, but having these installed in your Windows operating system may help you really
Also, keep your browsers (chrome, edge) updated, double check and do windows update too
Now, next is…
- Download from the official website and install by clicking the Download Now
- Install it and create an account, do not skip or press the skip button, save your recovery phrase (the 12 recovery phrases) and take a screenshot or save it to notepad. This is useful for recovering and transferring to a new computer or laptop
- Next, install the extension, and before interacting with the faucet, install Finnie wallet first
- Download Finnie Web3 Wallet (Finnie is the official wallet of the Koii Network). The purpose of this wallet is for mainnet launch and as well as exchanges, it’s like metamask or phantom wallet
- Before interacting with the Faucet, make sure the Finnie Wallet extension is installed, on the latest version and connected to the Faucet website so that everything runs smoothly and you get your faucet KOII tokens to get you started
- By navigating to the Official Koii Faucet, input the referral code. If it says already claimed, no worries you have activated the referral code already

You will get 5 KOII tokens from the Faucet and extra 5 KOII tokens when you run the node for 7 days from using my referral code
I provided a video visualization from the Official Koii Network for the full installation guide, as well as other videos that provided guides

Tips that might help based on my experience
Run 2–3–4 tasks when you’re just getting started with the Koii node for a test run and stability test.
Once you’ve earned a decent amount of $KOII tokens, add more funds to your staking key: it should be 7, 10, or 15 to cover the gas or network fees from running tasks (the tasks consumes some KOII in your staking public key)
You can do that by transferring some $KOII tokens on your system public key to your staking public key, just copy the staking key address and transfer.
1. Staking Public Key
And then try to add more tasks if you want to earn more but don’t run all tasks if your computer or laptop is not a high-end or has a low RAM. If your PC or laptop can’t handle multiple tasks, avoid running too many. Test the stability of tasks and choose the ones that work best for you.
If you have a high-end PC with 12–16 or 32GB RAM, SSD or NVME, and a high-end CPU etc., go ahead and run all tasks. It should work seamlessly without any problems or interruptions but that depends of course on how heavy you use your PC.
In my experience of running the Koii Node, I am currently running 3–4 tasks and it’s enough to earn for me.
I suggest running 2–3–4 tasks for optimal performance. don’t try to run all tasks, run tasks that is working for you at the moment, don’t worry, tasks will be updated and improved from time to time.
Remember that this is still a testnet or in testnet phase, some tasks are undergoing optimizations, finalizations, and fixes to ensure that they are fully functional and smooth, so expect some difficulties at this time. Finally, as the project approaches mainnet, more tasks will be added, particularly on mainnet. If you’re having problems, please report them to the Discord server so that they can debug and possibly fix it.
2. Twitter Tasks Full Guide
For tasks involving Twitter: Adot, Mask, #koii Twitter Archive, Archive Twitter, #420 Twitter
Follow this guide on the Koii Network Official Discord Server: https://discord.com/channels/776174409945579570/1209092791217684491/1209095783295623198
For getting login reviews in your X notifications or email, it’s normal! you should only see them once in a while, if there is a task update, you will see this notification again
3. Reputation Hardening by Staking (Effective on New Tasks in Mainnet perhaps)
- Stake more $KOII tokens in your existing tasks to build up your reputation.
- The more you stake, the more trusted your node becomes, ensuring consistent rewards.
- Keep in mind that staking more won’t grant extra rewards, but it contributes to reputation hardening.
- Don’t stake too much or it will or might be slashed, balance your stakes on each task.
- In the future, the Koii Network team said that more tasks will be added where you will get rewarded more if you stake more from that task but it will be on mainnet.
- Refer to this Discord Thread on the Official Koii Network Discord Server about staking: https://discord.com/channels/776174409945579570/1209281117237157991/1209282691577413702
4. Task Extensions, Running on MULTIPLE PC’S/Laptop and Twitter Accounts
For Multiple Twitter Accounts
Use different twitter accounts, doesn’t need to be verified (the blue check-mark) for each task that contains twitter credentials.
To ensure a successful login, turn off 2FA perhaps
Example:
Archive Twitter
TWITTER_USERNAME: milksteys
TWITTER_PASSWORD: mypassword123
TWITTER_PHONE: (your phone number, if no phone number then just put space and save)
KEYWORD: #koii or koii
Mask Social Feeds
TWITTER_USERNAME: teyvatgenshin
TWITTER_PASSWORD: sustainer123
TWITTER_PHONE: (your phone number, if no phone number then just put space and save)
So technically, you must have different Twitter Accounts when enabling those tasks if you want to use multiple Twitter Accounts. Do note that it is not mandatory or need to have multiple Twitter Accounts, this is just optional.
If you still don’t get it, watch the video demo example for a more visual representation

For Running on Multiple PC’s or Laptops
1 Koii Node is equal to = 1 Wallet
(The wallet meaning: unique key address which is the system public key and staking public key)
You can run multiple nodes on the same IP from different devices (PC/Laptop) same IP/ISP But only 4 Koii nodes per single IP
Refer to this important announcement: https://discord.com/channels/776174409945579570/1221852400332050432/1245044540985970699
1 Koii Node in your 1 PC/Laptop = 1 account per 1 Koii Node
Example:
PC : Email account #1 wallet #1
Laptop: Email account #2 wallet #2
Note: It may vary depending on ISP provider, but it is recommended that you run one Koii Node on a single IP/ISP network. Once again do note: only 4 Koii nodes per single IP. The rate limit of 4 nodes per single IP is a strategic measure to ensure network integrity, performance, and security. While it requires users to be mindful of their node creation and interaction practices, it ultimately serves to provide a stable and equitable environment for all network participants.
By adhering to these guidelines, users and administrators can contribute to a robust and resilient network infrastructure.
As for work offices or organizations, I’m not sure if it will work or be granted to use Koii Node, but that depends on the ISP provider used by the company for filtering or the firewall to block some things on the network. Overall, you can try or test it to see if it works in offices or workplaces.
You cannot run multiple nodes on the same wallet and on the same PC. This means that if you want to farm KOII tokens on multiple PCs or laptops, you must have one wallet per 1 Node on a PC/Laptop, so you will use different email addresses.
However, you can transfer your KOII tokens to your main Koii Account of your choice once the mainnet is launched.

Nodes are the backbone of the Koii network, with the primary goal of building a global, decentralized network that will rival the current monopolies on computing power.
By downloading the Koii Node, your laptop or computer can become a part of the global network that aims to revolutionize and democratize the world, as a Task Node that runs Web3 applications.
Running a Koii Node allows you to gain rewards in the form of $KOII tokens, with early adopters receiving higher rewards.
By running a Koii Node, individuals can contribute to the decentralization of the network, gain rewards, and support the development of the Koii ecosystem.
