“Just do it” is very poor advice.

Thanks for challenging my thinking. 🙏🏻

“Everyone has different abilities, knowledge, and experiences that influence how quickly they learn and what they learn.”

This it true to some extent, but often misunderstood. Many believe in concepts such as the creative right brain and logical left brain. That some have photographic memories, speed reading, that we have different learning styles, or that we have brain development inappropriateness in learning. All of these don’t have any scientific backing. It’s dogma.

In fact, we learn in a very similar way. The key difference between learner’s ability to acquire knowledge are prerequisites, referred to a crystallized intelligence in phycology.

The point of the article it that traditional learning is great for answers, e.g. learning how to portray perspective when sketching.

“Most people say “just do it” because they can’t articulate how that got from point a to point b”

That’s the point. There is no fixed path in defining your idea of success and following it. That’s the trap of today’s learning.
