Some folks have the capacity to do lots of different things.

I understand where you are coming from. These are thoughts I battle every day.

You hint that there is a universal definition of success. For me being a mother is as successful as reinventing the automobile industry, as long as they define their success and pursue it. But with all today’s media, I often get sidetracked myself.

Everyone comes from different backgrounds with existing resources. “Needing nothing”, is a mental metaphor, not something you should take literally. Hence, focusing on what you can do, instead of focusing on your excuses. This is easier said than done.

“Some folks have the capacity to do lots of different things.” You are applying that some people don’t have the ability to be motivated. It’s often not true. Many choose to believe in the idea of the logical left brain and creative right brain, learning styles, photographic memory, and speed reading for the same reasons. There is no science behind them. It’s often easier to find an excuse, than confronting it.
