Please tell me that your encouraging people to to try to get work for free isa joke. Because if it isn’t, it’s really, really bad. Bad because “free” = “no control over quality.” Plus “free” = “I don’t value you enough to pay you…” or “I’m happy to take things from you.” If you haven’t ever before, try googling artists and “for exposure” and take a long hard look at what you’re asking for when you’re asking for folks — editors, proofreaders, formatters, cover artists, whatever — to do work for you for free. It’s beyond disrespectful. If these folks are your friends, fine, but that’s not the implication of your post.
