This was a beautifully written piece. I cannot imagine some of the things you describe. I can, though, completely believe that every single one happened to you (and to others).

Even though I think there is more conversation now about rape and about victims not being believed, etc., I don’t see any marked improvement. The stats have stayed the same, the conviction rates, too. Is it just that enough time hasn’t passed? Will the generation coming up be better? A girl or woman going to report a rape is still dealing with folks in a much older generation — one who was raised on “good girls don’t….”

And, you got a new therapist right? ’Cause that person sounds like they’d only help you get worse, not better.
