As a parent who also works in advertising there’s another glaring point here: The headline.
Winters best=bright and cheery giggling girls. Winters worst=trouble making dark colored menacing boys.
It’s not only in the products themselves but in the messaging. If you look for it you’ll see it everywhere. Same as if you look for when products are displayed as good, pure they are often white, and when they are evil, bad, bad for you they are often black.
I applaud you calling them out. This stuff drives me crazy. Keep a vigilant eye and demand more from marketing and advertising. We can do better than this for our kids.
