In Defense of the Violence at Berkeley

Juan,

I hope you might take a few minutes to read this well-articulated plea for non-violence by a person who seems to be in solidarity with vulnerable communities.

I share the author’s concerns, because it saddens me to see the likes of Yiannopoulos using UC Berkeley to build himself up. I think the long-term cost of the narrative being constructed out of the black bloc tactics is too great, and the real goal is not to make Yiannpoulos stop talking, but to be so persuasive that everyone else stops listening to him.

Wishing you well.
