I’m genuinely interested.

This is a very fair and important question. I believe strongly in grassroots activism, as anyone can take part. I do quite a bit of writing and public speaking regarding disability issues, and I encourage others to do the same, even if it isn’t in a professional context. Start a blog or a podcast, maybe a YouTube channel. Reach out to local and state legislators on the issues that impact you and the people to whom you are an ally. Speak up and follow up, and urge those around you to look at the deeper issues at hand.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
