Baghdad car bomb kills 48

On Feb. 16, a car bomb detonated on a busy street in Iraq’s capital, Baghdad. 48 civilians were killed and officials say that the casualty count could rise as time proceeds. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack which was targeted at a Shia group.

Kim Jong-nam: More arrests over airport poisoning

On Feb. 13, Kim Jong-nam the brother of infamous North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, was reportedly attacked and killed in a Maylasian airport via poison. He was apparently attacked by two women in the airport hall with some sort of chemical. Three suspects are being detained still as the autopsy on Kim Jong-nam is performed. Some suspect that North Korea is behind the murder due to the estrangement between the brothers.

Spanish 64-year-old gives birth to healthy twins in Burgos

A 64-year-old woman from Spain has given birth to a set of twins, a healthy boy and a healthy girl. The woman has previously given birth in 2012, but her child was taken into custody by social services due to concerns of the child’s care and well-being. The woman had undergone fertitlity treatments for this pregnancy, but no decisions have been made on whether the children will stay with the mother.
