This is a really ignorant comment. First of all “slut-shaming” refers to shaming a woman for engaging in sexual behavior that is perfectly acceptable for a man, so no, it doesn’t apply here. Second of all, there are no circumstances in which you invite an entrepreneur to an investment meeting and it’s appropriate to be half naked — no matter what gender you’re meeting with. This kind of reading of these circumstances is a huge part of the problem. Further details is that while shirtless the first three things he said to me were about my physical appearance. But I shouldn’t have to add these additional details to justify that this meeting was inappropriate, the detail that he was shirtless should be enough. You want more? I have asked no fewer than 30 male founders if they have EVER arrived at an investment meeting to a shirtless investor. Do you need me to tell you what they all said?
