Certainly being a householder, taking care of family, brings some happiness. But there are many ways to serve. Humans beings are hard wired to be creative and are curious to learn. No one really gets excited when I do the dishes, and I don’t get happy from cleaning at home for no money, that’s just part of my being responsible. But what I create brings people happiness, and what I have learned and taught has been of service to people. In my household everyone must pick up the messes they make, do their own laundry, and each one lends a hand in the household chores of making meals and cleaning floors. The male people do more of the toilet cleaning since they make the most mess in there. Because others take responsibility to share chores equitably, I’m happy to have time to fulfill my full human potential: time to learn, time to create, time for healthy recreational activities, and time to relax. Must peel peaches and make grape jam now! Sometimes the pace of Nature dictates the chores! Responding to that bounty is a chore but also receiving a blessing of abundance .
