Are We on the Cusp of a Boom in Spanish-Language Podcasting?

A quick update: the results of Encuesta Pod 2017 are now available online at . The information is in Spanish in a user-friendly, visual format. The results, while not scientific, confirmed a few of my own assumptions about those who listen to podcasts in Spanish in the U.S.: they’re young, university-educated, bilingual, and listen to podcasts in English too. The most interesting take-away for me is that, while Edison Research’s English-only survey found in both 2016 and 2017 that 56% of podcast listeners were men, Encuesta Pod found that 63% of listeners of podcasts in Spanish in the U.S. were women.
