If everyone was the same, would we not always have the same books, same stories and be bored to tears, still speaking King James English today?

This is a really valid point. If we are not open to new forms of literacy, how will we ever progress or experience any change? Much of the “great literature” from the past was the result of challenging the norms. We should foster creativity in our students.
