In the depths of the most severe social isolation most of us have experienced in our lives, it was hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. However, I believe through this extreme global crisis the conditions have been created for what I’d like to call a Social Capital Renaissance.

How? The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered two profound changes:

  1. Reinvigorated community cohesion
  2. Realising the value of in-person interaction

I will delve into how these changes are worthy of the title, Renaissance. A Renaissance that has the power to transform, and perhaps, to even extend lives.
