Hey Bridgette,

Firstly, thanks for your amazing response.

Secondly, sorry it’s taken me so long to reply — just wanted to make sure my reply was worthy!

I so agree with you. Being a ‘microscopic writer’ doesn’t have the typical glamour associated with thousands of followers, but it’s no less important. Whether you have 10 writers of 10,000, your article still has the same amount of impact with the reader choosing to read it. You’ve just got a greater probability of finding that reader with the latter.

Everyone’s following the flock. I know I’m guilty of it. In one sense, it allows us to learn and potentially discover new hobbies etc. In the other sense, ‘following the flock’ should really only be a platform to allow you to explore, until you’re confident enough to pursue your own creative thought.

You should totally call yourself a writer. Clearly, you love it. Clearly, you write. Therefore, you’re a writer. It’s not an exclusive club, and I’d say everyone’s a writer, whether they choose to admit it or not. Some are just more practised. By using the label, you’ll break the label.

Sounds like you’re very inspired — so please don’t stop for as long as it brings you enjoyment!

Thanks again for a lovely response and glad you enjoyed the read.

Emily :)
