“It’s great to put on my resume,” said Daniel Rau, a business major who belongs to Crew, Habitat for Humanity, and the National Business Honor Society. He was sitting with his friend, a member of the meteorology club, near the WTOP office.
Jessica Kisluk is a member of WTOP and WNYO, and is also heavily involved on campus. She said she has diabetes, and that Disability Services once asked her to be a poster child for the Oswego Diversity posters around the Campus center. She also works at Mackin as a desk attendant.
Jesse Mazur has worked on research through the school. He is a senior Chemistry major currently working on a research project on the chemical compounds in Lake Ontario. He is optimizing the way they test for chemicals in the water, and hopes his introduced method can be used in the summer before he graduates.

Today I ran around Campus sweating the alcohol out of my body and asking people to talk about themselves. Katharine and I partnered and I used her pictures to post, and it was a pretty fun assignment. It’s definitely really hard to do this assignment within the time constraints, I had trouble meeting the deadline. I think it was cool I got to talk to a grandma and a 7-year-old girl about her ice skating birthday party, that was cute. I don’t mind talking to people, but it was annoying when I would ask people if they’re busy and they would say no, yet decline an interview. People are so afraid of being labeled narcissistic, and so untrusting of reporters, it’s frustrating. Coming up with questions on the fly was difficult too, and I wish I had an audio recorder with me so I could take better sound bites. Twitter is also really difficult to use with only 140 characters, I know my tweets suffered because of a lack of context. The tweets I used weren’t very useful for writing my story, and I wasn’t sure how to fit this personal part in with the story, so I just split them into sections.
