Finding the strength to Niche!

Organically attract your audience with your strengths.

If you can clearly articulate your niche, you’ll build your dream business and a business that brings you joy. Unfortunately, most people show up in the marketplace unable to articulate how or why they are the right choice.

The biggest challenges they face are:

  • Staying motivated
  • Standing out in the marketplace
  • Trapped by competitive pricing
  • Struggling to stand out in a crowded space

Here’s a better way

You work outside your genius zone if a business feels forced, like your old 9 to 5! Focus on what brings you joy, and learn your genius by understanding your strengths.

How I found my strengths

This online test measures the intensity of your talents in each of the 34 CliftonStrengths themes. Upon completion, I received my results in a report featuring customised descriptions of my rank-ordered dominant strengths.

It helped me realise

  • Who I am
  • What I’m good at
  • Only focus on my strengths.
  • What comes naturally to me
  • My genius

My assessment identified that I lead with Strategic Thinking, one of four CliftonStrengths themes.

Strategic Thinking:

Leaders with great Strategic Thinking strengths are the ones who keep us all focused on what could be. They are constantly absorbing and analysing information and helping the team make better decisions. People with strength in this domain continually stretch their thinking for the future.

My top 5 strengths:

  1. Learner: People exceptionally talented in the Learner theme greatly desire to learn and continuously improve. The process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites them.
  2. Strategic: People exceptionally talented in the Strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues.
  3. Ideation: People exceptionally talented in the Ideation theme are fascinated by ideas. They can find connections between seemingly disparate phenomena.
  4. Activator: People incredibly talented in the Activator theme can make things happen by turning thoughts into action. They want to do something now rather than talk about them.
  5. Connectedness: People exceptionally talented in the Connectedness theme believe in the links. They believe there are few coincidences and that almost every event has meaning.

How this translates into my niche

Brand strategist and mentor (1 & 2), helping creative solopreneurs find their superpowers (3, 4 & 5).

I always could look at a scenario and say, “if that were mine, I would do it this way….” I bring a fresh perspective to the table. I analyse the problem and find solutions to action change. I work with my clients to identify what they do, who they serve, and how they do it.

My Clifton Strengths report played a massive part in discovering my niche, giving me the confidence to own my superpower and communicate my niche, allowing me to stand head and shoulders above the marketplace, attract my dream clients.

One action you can take this weekend:

Invest in yourself and take your Clifton Strengths Assessment.

I can’t wait to hear your top 5 strengths!
