for you. everything is

If my eyes could see anything today

They would see the filters of grey

That taint a childish ignorance

With each step I take, my feet grow paler

And the storm grows ferociously

Lightening crashes to the green trees

Thunder rumbles in our hearts

The storm grows desperate, but where is the rain?

So we slip on our pale feet

As we fall, the ground falls with us

Emptying the ecstasy that once surrounded us

Watering our beautiful flame

Our kisses become icy

Our lips speak through our vanity

Our eyes blink with strange apathy

For you’ve become the breath I lost

For you’ve become the reason I tiptoe through sleepless nights

I’ve sacrificed my oxygen to your inclination

I’ve sacrificed my stability to impulsivity

The impulses that exist beyond day’s sanity

Allowing fog to suffocate us

But our eyes have not gone black

And our feet are only pale until tomorrow
