Life Is Not Like Instagram: But, I’m terrified!

I read somewhere that fear is the reluctancy of your subconscious brain (which for most of us runs a terrfying 95% of everything we’re doing) in reliquishing control to the conscious brain.

When the conscious brain is active and creating and taking new actions the subconscious needs to switch on and listen and learn and reprogramme and it’s HARD WORK.

Fear is our own self-sabotague mechanism to try and prevent us from experiencing continuous growth.

Plus we’re human. It’s human nature to love to give up on things and feel sorry for ourselves and enroll others empathy for how hard life is and to look at others and be jealous of them and blame it on their good luck and our bad luck and make ourselves right and the world wrong.

If it’s scary, chances are it’s exactly what you need to be doing.

Thanks Dave for being both the one to do the scary things and show the rest of us they are not that bad and also for having the vulnerability to tell us you were scared when you did them. xx

Oh…and you only get to count yourself as being BRAVE if you were scared in the first place. Otherwise you were just being.

You, my son, have enormous big hairy balls and i want them!
