Strip steel and coil are the main raw materials for welded steel pipes. For steel pipe manufacturing, it mainly depends on the pipe making process. For spiral welded pipes, steel coils are uncoiled, leveled, trimmed, formed, and welded. For straight seam welded pipes, it must be used. The plates are formed and welded. If steel coils are used, they must be uncoiled, leveled and cut into single steel plates for use. Coils generally refer to steel strips with a width of not less than 600mm. Generally, they can be divided into steel plates or longitudinally cut steel strips. In the standard, they are generally put together with steel plates, such as: carbon structural steel and low alloy structural steel plates and steel strips. . Strip steel generally has a width of less than 600mm.

Coil is a thin steel plate with a thickness of no more than 6 mm, usually less than 3 mm, but because of its wide width, it needs to be rolled by a large rolling mill. The width of the coiled steel strip is not more than 0.2 meters; the rolling mill used is small. Of course, when the same material has the same thickness, the price of the coiled plate is also more expensive than the strip steel.
