I am also curious about the interaction with iOS navigation. I have noticed on many sites that use buttons fixed to the bottom of the screen, the solution has been to force the iOS nav to remain open on important pages, like Checkout, where the user may be scared of the 2-tap interaction. Of course this takes up available space for content. Airbnb avoids prompting iOS navigation by keeping their button just out of the touch radius, which creates a decent amount of space under the button (they’ve “fixed” this by adding a message there to take up space). I can’t imagine forcing iOS navigation to remain open in order to utilize a tabbed navigation is the best solution?
