The article I read was “Anonymous official cites Trump ‘amorality’ in NY Times op-ed” from the Washington AP which was pn WHDH Boston’s website.

The article was about a senior admiration official who wrote about President Trumps “amorality” and impetuous” leadership in an unsigned opinion piece in the New York Times. Trump responded to the article calling it a “gutless editorial” and a disgrace. The article states that once the op-ed was released there was a chase to find out who the person was on social media not only in the West Wing but in newsrooms across the country. In my opinion that could be considered doxing if that person’s name were to be released. I think if the person’s name was undisclosed, then there was a reason for it. Yes, he may have put themselves into that situation by writing that article. But I think in respect to that person and the job they hold; their identity should be left alone until they are ready or until it gets leaked by someone in the White House. I also think Trump could claim the article is defamation to his career if he really thought the article could hurt his reputation.
