This is really, truly bad policy. This breads confirmation bias. If we’re only collecting data on all the cases where trans people do WELL in order to punish that? And we’re NOT collecting data where trans people do poorly in competitive sport, how can we compare? How can we truly know when it’s a biological or medical or hormonal reason that that trans person placed as well or as poorly as they did? Beyond that, why don’t we test everyone who places highly? Just to double check, just to be safe, ya know? This is wilful ignorance. This is transmisia, there’s no two ways about it. Either you’re testing your high scoring athletes or you’re not. Either you’re testing trans athletes to collect data, or you’re desperately searching for any reason to keep trans people down.
