Inside Finca Vigía, Ernest Hemingway’s Home in Cuba
The Obama White House

Thank you for this personal piece and detailed photos. It took me back to all the Hemmingway titles my parents purchased through the Book-Of-The-Month Club and lined the bookcase study that defined my childhood. But that desk. My dad had a dark wooden desk with a custom glass top. He squirreled cherished Polaroids under the glass where they remained pristine for half a century. The books, though, had yellowed and crumbled with time. I hadn’t thought about this room in a long time. Your piece took me back. I hope to one day visit Cuba and track down my Jewish heritage there.
