Talk about a distinction without much difference. My _God_. As usual, Trump’s hyperbole gets him into trouble and obscures the actual truth that is a more scaled-back version of what he actually said.
But anybody who listens to the tape or reads the transcript can hear the laugh and judge for themselves. Here’s the point: You have a lawyer who’s laughing about the results of a negative polygraph of her client. Obviously, this indicates that she knows he’s guilty. It’s true that a court-appointed defense attorney is obligated to provide a vigorous defense and test the system. But that attorney is _not_ obligated to laugh about a situation where the “humor” depends on the fact that her client actually _did_ rape a 12-year-old.
Is all that too difficult for you?
And this is the further point: Imagine Trump as a young lawyer, laughing when he’s joking about his child-rapist client passing a polygraph. How many of you same people who are defending Clinton on this matter would be defending Trump or anybody else in the same situation?
Yeah. I thought so.
