Guide to Creating MyEtherWallet

Dear EMP Community,

Many people have asked questions through the official community about participating in token sales. In this post, let’s create a MyEtherWallet together.

Ethereum wallets such as MyEtherWallet can be used to participate in token sales, and exchange wallets are not allowed.

If you have a exchange wallet, you should never send Ethereum on the exchange directly. You can send the Ethereum to the Ethereum wallet and join the token sale.

Creating MyEtherWallet

1. Visit MyEtherWallet website.(https://www.myetherwallet.com/)
※ There is a website of MyEtherWallet impersonation, please be sure to link through the above link.

2. To create a new wallet, click the ‘New Wallet’ menu in the top left corner.

3. Please set a password (minimum 9 characters).
※ Please be careful not to lose it because it is the first password to access MyEtherWallet.

4. Click ‘Download Keystore File (UTC / JSON)’ to save the keystore file to your PC.
※ Keystore file is the file type key of your wallet. If you lose the keystore file, you can not use your wallet.

5. Save the keystore file to your PC and click ‘I understand. Continue.’

6. Now you have Ethereum Wallet! The red box below is the address of the wallet you just created.

7. You can print your wallet information or save it as a PDF file by clicking ‘Print Paper Wallet’.

※ Your Address: It is the address of the created etherium wallet.
※ Your Private Key: It is the Private Key of the created Ethereum wallet. This private key is included in the keystore file. Please be careful not to expose it to others because you can open and use your wallet with this private key only.
