It’s time to sum up the end of October!
In September, I set myself such goals as improving my English level and participating in events. And guess what? I did it!
I definitely began to speak English more fluently and express my thoughts correctly. Improving English is a more general goal that I set myself every day. I understood that shyness gets on my way. I always expect others to answer a question but I stopped doing it and started taking things into my own hands. I’m still embarrassed to talk about anything, especially my feelings, but I’ve really fought with it this month. I hope I could make it. I also hope my grades have improved.
As for participation in the events, my classmates and I showed our performance at the freshman day. It wasn’t very good because we had only been preparing for two days. I want to add that I was the speaker at the Brexit debate. I honestly think Smolyaninova Julie and I defended our point of view well. It was an amazing experience because we had to learn the history of Britain from the twentieth century! I became a member of the discussion club at Lobachevsky State University and was chosen as the best speaker. This month can be described in two words: study and fighting.
But I think that I still have to open up further and show everyone what I can do. I wish I’d answered more in English class! But I have November ahead of me. And the main goal will be again the fight against yourself. Obviously, I’m going to have to stop being afraid to ask questions even if they’re stupid. I need to stop being afraid of what others will think. I don’t have to think about whether people think I’m arrogant or annoying. Just go for it and take what you deserve!
Happy November😉
