My Vibe Isn’t for Everyone, and That’s the Point
Here’s a revolutionary thought: I’m not for everyone — and I like it that way.
Some people meet me and instantly vibe. We’re laughing in five minutes, trauma bonding in ten, and talking about our retirement plans by the end of the hour. Others? They stare at me like I just slapped their grandma with a glittery glove. And that, my friend, is fine.
See, my vibe isn’t the watered-down, people-pleasing, hand-holding, approval-seeking kind. I’m not here to blend in, shrink down, or contort myself to make you comfortable. I’ve spent way too much time trying to be “palatable” for people who still managed to find a problem with me anyway. So now? I say what I mean. I take up space. I laugh too loud. I disappear when the energy is off. And if you can’t hang, that’s the point.
I’m not the sampler tray at Costco. I’m not here for everyone to take a bite, judge it, and move on. I’m more like wasabi — bold, direct, and not for the weak palate.
People who don’t get me will always say the same things: “You’re too much.” “You’re intense.” “You’re intimidating.” Translation? I can’t manipulate you, and it bothers me.
