#MABT 2018 Day 28

The Chatra District of Jharkhand was traversed by the crew on the 28th day of March. We interacted with students at Chatra College in the first half of the day. In the other half we interacted with the concerned officials who are designated with the job of protecting children and implementing schemes for the welfare of children.

Highlights :

  1. The officials from CWC, DCPU and other such institutions gathered at the Chatra College to be a participant in the interactive session that was focussed on trafficking in the name of marriage and other kinds of trafficking. The DCPO and the former CWC member interacted directly with the students.

Prem Kumar Vidharthi started the session by giving a basic information about the cause of Bride Trafficking and its prevalence in certain areas and communities. Also the role of students in raising a movement against Bride Trafficking was Highlighted. Students from BCA, B Ed courses and other Information Technology related courses were present at the session.

2. In the second half of the day we sat down with the officials from DCPU, SJPU, CWC, AHTU, CWPU, while the Secretary of DALSA presided over the meeting, The Chairperson CWC and JJB members were also present.

The Secretary DALSA presided over the meeting at Vikas Bhavan.

Protection Officers from DCPU and Second Officers from SJPU spoke about the challenges faced by the system in providing service to the people who are supposed to be the beneficiaries.
