It’s only when I started getting translation jobs that I realized my writing sucks. Despite being able to speak fluent English, I have never studied my own writing. So this year I want to get better at it by writing more. I hope I am motivated enough to write something every day on this blog.

I am a Chinese-English translator whose “specialization” is in mobile games. I didn’t choose to specialize in games — it just happened that the majority of the work I’ve done, both as a full-time employee and freelance translator, fell into this category. I was an English-Chinese translator/editor for a large mobile game developer, and now I’m a full time translator (among other duties) at a start-up that provides a great localization platform and brings app developers and freelance translators together.
