
The Best Version of Yourself
Every journey begins with a dream.
A dream keeping us awake at night…A dream disturbing us like a splinter in our minds, just because we do nothing to make it real.
So, why aren’t we able to take the necessary steps to make that dream real?Or don’t we know exactly what to do to make it real?
Most of the time it is clear what to do, or how to do it. We do nothing about it because we love to procrastinate. Just consider for how long you have been planning about going to gym regularly or quitting your job to be an entrepreneur or learning extra skills! And here we are, trying to figure our way out of this mess.

What does it take to live our lives as we have always dreamed of?
The best route to internalise any skill is to make it a habit. Humans, as a species, like routines because it is the most effective way of saving energy, both physically and mentally. The routines ensures that you use your energy frugally. This includes the way you work, the way you communicate with people, your relationship with money or even what you eat for lunch. Once the habit is set up, it keeps living for years or decades until it becomes a part of your character.
I use the term “habit” and “routine” interchangeably. While routine is the each tooth in a chain, the habit is the chain itself. The habit is the end product with the repetition of routine. The problem is whether we find the right routines or not. For instance, it is not hard to predict that the health of a smoker, who consumes several cigarettes during a day, will probably deteriorate in a few decades. That is, habits determine our future well-being. The routines embedded in daily life drastically affect our destiny.
For a couple of years I have been thinking about how will I achieve my goals. How to find out the skills, which are relevant and sought all over the world? How to get rid of the chains of our own geography, become a world citizen and to be able to live wherever we want?
The ‘aha moment’ has arrived when I have simply realized that it is all about creating a routine which in turn leads me into the dream life. As you may imagine, the very first steps are often painful. You don’t simply see the immediate results of your actions. Just keep walking on the path. Consistency is the key for growth. Every single day take a small step that lets your dreams make more reachable. Small steps becomes big ones by time. Little drops come together to create a great river, that takes away any obstacle on your way.
The real question is that do you have balls to keep doing the things that will get you closer to your dream? If so, day by day, week by week, you will start to feel the difference.
The journey of forming a new habit might be the best prodigy you may have ever tasted. Nothing will give you more joy than spending your time on high productivity activities making you one step closer to that dream life. If you are still with me, I can say that the journey has just begun.
