I’m sorry Asra, but your words embody the flaws in most American voters. American voters have proven that their votes are cast with personal interests as the most important factor in coming to a decision on a candidate.

If we’d all put aside our selfish interests and realize that a united America is a more prosperous and stable place to live, then a candidate who asserts racist, homophobic, misogynist and xenophobic ideals would eliminate themselves from consideration.

As a country, we collective overlooked these traits in Mr. Trump and any voter who assisted in his ascension pledged their tacit approval for his beliefs and behavior.
