Empty high-voume, low-efficiency scoring for a bad team. And PER overrates players who score, even if they’re inefficient and do little else. There’s a reason you don’t mention any of the more meaningful metrics: because they paint an accurate picture of Rose, which you are trying to obfuscate. For instance, his -2.25 RPM was good enough (or bad enough?) to finish as the 51st best PG (out of 79) last year. That sounds about right, and is consistent with his other advanced metrics (-1.9 BPM, 0.068 WS/48, etc.): Rose is a sub-replacement level player at this point. An OK backup, no more.
