Weeks 4–7 – treating endometriosis with Chinese medicine

Sorry for the long gap in between posts people!

Latest update is mixed. I explained in the last post that daily pain had decreased and period pain had decreased. Since the post, the daily pain has probably averaged at a 1–2, which is SO great. Woohoo!

However my last period which was two weeks ago was really painful. Pain lasted for the first two days, and was a case of taking paracetamol and ibuprofen together constantly which didn’t really do enough. Felt exhausted that week as well. Also period lasted 8 days and came 9 days early which sucked A LOT. So that’s a bit depressing and altogether not great.

I went back to my Chinese doctor and told her this, and she gave me two things – firstly some stronger herbs, and second some liquid to add to water to soak my pelvis in daily to “detox externally”. Sounds cuckoo but it’s not an expensive addition so I’m rolling with it currently.

Now at week 7 , and she said 3 months to start seeing results, so I’ve got a minimum of five weeks to go. I haven’t been eating as healthily as I should have for the last three weeks so I’m going to turn that around next week .

Not much else to report. Doing ok mentally, just pushing through until the three month mark before digesting the situation whatever that is. Haven’t done physio for three weeks and still doing ok on the day to day pain which is a good sign :)

Will update again in a week or two!
