Fear of the Black Messiah

“… And He said to Abram, “Know for certain that your seed are to be sojourners in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them, and they shall afflict them four hundred years…” (Genesis 15.13).

The shooting death of 17 year old Austin,Texas native David Joseph, a High School senior student-athlete, marks the 106th human being killed by a police officer so far in 2016. Joseph, said to be unarmed and naked, was shot by officer Geoffrey Freeman, who opened fire within seconds of encountering the young Joseph. Though an investigation is currently underway for the February 8th incident, there is an unmistakable pattern that emerges of unarmed “Black men” being shot in cold blood by police which presents critical evidence that finds the United States guilty, without a shadow of a doubt, of democide. The point of this article, however, is not to get into the forensics of this or other similar cases, nor is it to demonstrate the continued cry of Blacks for the simple recognition that #BlackLivesMatter, rather it is to present the spiritual dimension of this recurring warfare on the lives of so-called African-Americans.

Let it be made know that in previous writings I have demonstrated with both historical witnesses and prophecy that there exists among so-called African-Americans a constituency of the Yahudayah/Judeans from the Lost Tribes of Israel who are suffering from the curses of disobedience that have been placed upon us as signs in the woes of our exilic oppression and affliction. As relates to this reality, this recent police murder in Austin immediately struck me as noteworthy in regards to the youth’s name. Interestingly, the youth’s first name, David, which means beloved or friend, in Hebrew is the name of Israel’s second and most recognized king. King David is the man responsible for the seizing of the city Jerusalem, which is also dubbed the City of David, or Zion, from the previous Jebusite occupants. It is through his lineage, also, that the Redeemer of Israel was to be born. His surname, Joseph, which means Yah shall add another son, is the 11th of 12 sons born to the patriarch Jacob (who was later given the name Israel by YHWH after wrestling with an angel), is best known for being a dreamer and for getting betrayed and sold by his brothers into Egyptian enslavement after which he arose to the second most powerful position in Egypt after enduring imprisonment on a false accusation of raping the priest of On’s wife. It was then that Joseph went on to bring salvation to the people of Israel and the entire region during a seven year period of famine by devising a plan to sustain the people with food during those years of barrenness. Yet what is more, is that in Israelite ideology, the Messiah is presented in the characteristics of these two men; Mashiyach ben Yoseph (Messiah son of Joseph), the Suffering Servant and Mashiyach ben Dawid (Messiah son of David) the Conquering Lion of Judah. Given these pieces of information presented, it is my intention to briefly demonstrate how the murder of 17 year old David Joseph is an attempt prevent the birth of the Messiah by the powers that be.

And a great sign was seen in the heaven: a woman clad with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. And being pregnant, she cried out in labour and in pain to give birth. And another sign was seen in the heaven: and see, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on his heads. And his tail draws a third of the stars of the heaven and throws them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, to devour her child as soon as it was born (Revelation 12.1–4).

From the days of Qayin/Cain and Hebel/Abel, there has been a concerted effort to thwart the appearance of a promised seed that would go on to restore a righteous order to the earth under the rulership of ha Mashiyach ben David/the Messiah son of David, the King of Israel (Isaiah 9.6–7). It is this child that we see written of in the above verse from the book of Revelation who is under constant attack from a spirit housed in souls of men, tribes, nations, kingdoms and empires that are intent on destroying this special and unique child. With this in mind, the connection that David Joseph has to this Apocalyptic scenario becomes perceived through the historical accounts of our continuous experiences in the diaspora, in America in particular, following the Roman Empire’s destruction of the City of David, the exile of the Judeans after crushing the Bar Kochba Revolt by the emperor Hadrian, and the renaming of the land of Judea to Palestine in 135 CE by the Romans. From that point forward, up to this very day, it has been the concerted efforts of the transmogrified Roman Empire confederated with other nations, particularly those Arab and European nations involved the Trans-Saharan and Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, as identified by Psalm 83, that have sought to “wipe [us]out as a nation, [so that] the name of Yisra’ĕl be remembered no more (verse 4).” The fact that David Joseph’s name is representative of both the Suffering Servant of Israel and the Conquering Lion of Judah demonstrates, in the spirit world, that the enemies of the Kingdom of YHWH, found within the set-apart ones of Israel, are in full formation to devour the Messiah child as soon as it is born. And the fact that Joseph was naked and unarmed when he he was shot also represents the innocence and unashamed nature of the soul that is to be found among those who have been redeemed and able to wrest the Kingdom of YHWH from the last of the Four Beasts as prophetically revealed in both the books of Daniel and Revelation, as the Vatican, the beast from the sea, and America, the beast from the wilderness seek to prevent the coming of the everlasting Kingdom of YHWH. The principle of naked innocence is easliy seen in the Torah back when Adam was first brought into consciousness inside the Garden of Eden with his wife in Genesis 2, as it states that they were both naked and unashamed. The principle of the enemies of the Most High establishing their own kingdom on earth is found both at Isaiah 14.13–14 & Matthew 4.8–10.

Therefore, what remains in this unfolding drama of the Word of YHWH on earth is the realization that our salvation and redemption, as the Children of Israel, is only to be found in our repentance, which includes returning to our Israelite cultural heritage in the form of the Torah and then returning to our land of inheritance, the Promised Land. For it is only then, through our repentance and our returning to our land, that our oppression and affliction will come to an end. For this is truly a battle that will not be won by “might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Most High” (Zecharyah 4.6), because physically, we are outgunned by the military industrial complex that the fourth beast has amassed. Our only hope of victory is to change the setting of the battlefield and the mode of warfare to our advantage, which is in the realm of the spirit so that our Almighty Power will be made manifest in and through us, as it is written,

And I saw the heaven opened, and there was a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Trustworthy and True, and in righteousness He judges and fights. And His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns, having a Name that had been written, which no one had perceived except Himself and having been dressed in a robe dipped in blood — and His Name is called: The Word of יהוה. And the armies in the heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations. And He shall shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Ěl Shaddai. And on His robe and on His thigha He has a name written: SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS AND MASTER OF MASTERS.
