The impact of adblocking on analytics are enormous these days. This problem becomes more severe when there is no data fallback (e.g. wordpress or server logs) as most sites are heavily cached or static these days.
We’ve noticed a trend that users go with more aggressive adblockers, that filter analytics as well. Also there’s quite a difference in audiences: On a technical publication the adblocking rate can get as high as 80 (!) percent.
