Month two of my TIIDELab experience ushered me into a world of design, Javascript, and Professional development.

The design phase was an eye-opener for me, as I initially had no prior knowledge of using Figma or understanding the artistry behind crafting aesthetically pleasing designs. However, TIIDELab shattered my preconceptions with the invaluable guidance of our exceptional tutors, Mr. Abdulmuiz Yusuf and Mrs. Temitayo Hamzah. Through their expertise, I gained insight into the intricacies of UI/UX design. Armed with this newfound knowledge, my team and I successfully designed both low-fidelity and high-fidelity versions of an Autotrack app. We seamlessly transferred these skills to our team project, MedEase," a medication management app. The designs have been meticulously crafted, and we are now poised to commence the coding phase.

The learning phase introduced us to JavaScript, with the brilliant Mr. Ibrahim Lukman also known as Mr. Kenny as our guide—a true paragon of teaching excellence. We put our acquired knowledge to the test by embarking on various projects, including an ATM clone, DOM manipulation form, Fellow array method practice, Task manager, etc.

ATM clone

In this project, I was able to build an ATM clone whereby you can check your Balance, Withdraw, Deposit, and Exit the ATM. If a wrong choice is entered, a prompt tells you that the choice is invalid.

Lastly, the professional classes, expertly led by our dedicated Project Coordinator, Mr. Aderoju Shamsudeen, delved into essential aspects of decision-making. This knowledge not only empowered me to make better decisions but also guided me on the path to becoming the person I aspire to be.

TIIDELab saw the importance of having a mentor in one's career as a software developer, which I must say is a very important aspect of learning. Mr. Adetokunbo Temitayo Ige was assigned to me and some other fellows, and it has been awesome ever since.

Mentor session

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the TIIDELab family, the Founder, the council of elders, our dedicated tutors, my fellow teammates (The Innovation Squad), and the entire TIIDELab community. As we move forward, stay tuned for our next phase, where we will apply our knowledge of HTML, CSS (including Tailwind CSS), and JavaScript to bring our MedEase app to the world.
