What are the Different Elements of Story?
A story is a narration that includes many characters, events as well as happenings and convey a message to the readers. It explains a situation or some related occurrences, whether these are true or fictitious. In brief, a story is a depiction of a journey that is illustrated around some characters and events. After starting a story, gradually it takes shape and finally, it gives a conclusion to the readers. Most importantly, stories are a part of our life as we have been listening as well as reading stories since our childhood.

Character: Characters are one of the important elements of a story as they help in narrating the events by maintaining a sequence. The readers get acquainted with the characters and they become a part of the story. Therefore, the characters play a vital role in the stories. However, the characters should be narrated, along with a thorough information so that the readers can visualize each person and also can predict the next situations.
Setting: Setting is another important feature that makes the readers more familiar with the story as it describes the surroundings or environment where the story is elucidated. In short, through setting, the readers can visualize the scene and get connected with the plot.
Plot: Plot is nothing, but the series of occurrences or events. In the stories, the writer arranges the events to make the readers understand the idea or message intended to convey. However, the plot has three stages-beginning, middle and end and each stage should be arranged properly so that the readers can sense the forthcoming actions.
Conflict: Conflict is common in each story and it should be solved in a right way and for that the characters do the actions. However, the climax is another imperative aspect, when the actions become exciting and it comes just before the resolution. In addition to this, conflict is needed to move the plot ahead.
Resolution: This is the last part and here, the way to solve the problem is referred as the resolution. The tone of the resolution should be matched with the story and at the end, the conflict should be solved.
