How I made over $2,500 in just a few weeks on a brand new website
Hi.
Anysa here.
We launched Juicy, the platform for the sexiest content in crypto… just under a month ago.
In the first few weeks, I personally made over $2,500 from people subscribing to my content on the platform, and this is on a brand new website that people don’t know or trust yet.
In this article, I’d like to talk a little bit about how I am thinking about growing my audience and getting more subscribers. If you are a content creator, I hope this is helpful food for thought for you.
Connecting with Crytpo Twitter
I believe in building real relationships with people.
There are a lot of content creators on X who will simply post sexy pictures and link back to their OF without really being part of any particular community.
This may work well for some people, but with so many people doing it, you may struggle to get attention.
I decided to immerse myself into various communities, get to know them, and be a part of the action.
My first foray into this was with Rekt Drinks. I bought 2 “Rekt Guy” NFTs on Ethereum, and I decided to try to earn DRANK points 😂
Not only was I posting content, I made a list of all of the other people posting Rekt Drinks content, and I engaged with them daily.
It’s not just about marketing.
I want to have fun and get to know people.
The Rekt posts did pretty well, although things really picked up with the launch of $BOOTY on AVAX.
This token launch was completely just luck. I had no idea it was going to happen, and I just started having fun posting some booty pics and making jokes.
(I also bought a bunch of the token.)
There’s not really a simple trick to this, but here’s an outline of my thoughts:
- There are a lot of interesting, cool communities in Web3 on different blockchains.
- If you engage with them genuinely, people are pretty friendly and open.
- Use lists to your advantage. Create groups of people you want to be sure to engage with frequently, because the “for you” algorithm isn’t going to work for this.
- Engage a LOT. I made thousands of replies in my first several weeks after I decided to do this.
- Promote yourself from time to time, but focus on having fun and being funny. If there is a way to do both, do it.
This is an example of the last point.
A token called $YES came out on AVAX. I bought the token and thought they were funny guys, so I started posting lots of replies like this.
To be honest, I was worried that this post would be cringe. Some posts may have gone into cringe territory. But I’m laughing, so who cares?
Grinding for Attention
My general approach to “grinding” X is changing all of the time.
At first, I wanted to get a bunch of impressions. I managed to get some reposts from Iggy, and that definitely helped.
But I wasn’t really getting any new followers.
The next thing I decided to try was to follow people who engage with content creators that I feel are doing something similar to what I am doing.
Figen.eth posts somewhat sensual content on a daily basis, and she gets hundreds of replies. She’s just one example. There are many.
Every day for a while, I would go through everyone who replied to her posts and follow them. Of those people, many would follow me back.
This is a well known way to get followers, although X will limit how many people you can follow and I got my account locked once for a couple of days for being too aggressive.
This is only the first part of the strategy though.
Once you start getting follows, you need to get people engaged.
The first thing I did was make a list of people who followed me back. Then I’d go through that list and engage with anything interesting or lighthearted that people would post.
(I’m trying to stay out of politics and so on.)
Once I started engaging with them, they would come and engage on my posts. And once people started to engage with my posts, I made yet another list of people who are engaging with MY content regularly.
These are people that I want to stay in contact with the most. So the first thing I would do for a while would be to go through my “engaged follower” list and be sure to say something nice on anything they posted!
That’s the point! Make friends :)
The Moral of the Story
There are actually two morals to this story.
- You can make real money on Juicy. We’re early, but it’s already proven.
- Don’t just take. Go out and engage with people, get to know them, maybe even make some friends, and you’ll be surprised how much support you get!
