Once upon a midnight match, Darkness fell.
It covered field and cities alike with a despair so deep
It burned orange in the clouded sky.
Bursts were silences from peak to peak.
Stars blew out in puffs
Like maligned candle wicks.
White paryers stirred dark magic.
Blessing spells turned bellicose preaching.
The lasting smoke lies between us and the arid se4as
Disappearing into an uneven fog
Whose mist is made from mortal tears
Trapped for eternity.
